Danny's Recipe Burgers with cucumber yoghurt PDF

I N G R E D I E N T S

4 Danny's Mini Pitas

500g lean beef

½ cup plain low-fat yoghurt

⅓ cup chopped cucumber

2 teaspoons pepper herb mix*

¼ teaspoon salt

2 Danny's Pitas (halved and warmed)

1 medium tomato cut into 8 thin slices

*Pepper herb mix - 2 tablespoons diced basil leaves

1 tablespoon each lemon-pepper and onion powder

1 ½ teaspoons rubbed sugar

C O O K I N G   S T E P S

Setp 1

Combine yoghurt, cucumber, ½ teaspoon herb mix and salt in a small bowl, reserve.

Setp 2

Shape ground beef into four 1 ½ cm thick patties. Sprinkle remaining 1 ½ teaspoons herb mix over both sides of patties.

Setp 3

Meanwhile heat large non-stick skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes.

Setp 4

Place patties in skillet and cook 6 - 8 minutes, turning once. Season with salt, if desired.

Setp 5

To serve, place a burger in each Danny's pita half, add 2 tomato slices and yoghurt sauce as desired.

Setp 6

Combine all ingredients. Store covered in an airtight container. Shake before using to blend.

Yield: about ⅓ cup.
