4 Danny's Mini Pitas, or 1 large Pita
4 teaspoons butter, softened
About 1 cup tomato sugo (natural tomato pulp or your favourite tomato pasta sauce)
Olive oil
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 slice cooked ham, bologna, berliner or similar sausage cut into strips
1 small tomato, sliced
1-2 slices swiss cheese or cheddar
6 stuffed olives, halved.
4 slices salami
2 anchovies, halved
½ red pepper, sliced
2 tablespoons grated gruyere, swiss or cheddar cheese.
1 slice pineapple, cut up
8 slices pepperoni or other salami
4 black olives
¼ cup grated swiss or cheddar cheese
6-8 mushrooms, sliced
½ red or green pepper, sliced
1-2 slices swiss or cheddar cheese
Smear butter over breads and toast under preheated grill.
Heat tomato sugo or sauce and spread generously over each Danny's pita, or if using large one, use different toppings for each quarter, ending with cheese.
Sprinkle olive oil and parmesan over each Danny's pita pizza and bake in a preheated oven 200°C (400°F) for 10-15 minutes or until golden and crisp around the edges, or grill under preheated grill, positioning them not too close. Do not allow to burn.
